On February 3, 2019 Iamsport+ had the opportunity to organize the training stay of the English team Huddersfield Town U19 in Seville, through a visit aimed at the competitive and intercultural learning in the world of football.
With these objectives and values, the players and the technical staff stayed a week in the Andalusian territory, where they played matches against local teams, like Betis B and the Sevilla Juvenil División de Honor.
The first day programme included a visit to the sports facilities of R. Betis Balompié, in the Luis del Sol Sports City. There they faced a team consisting of Betis B players and their first youth team. The result was a 3-1 defeat for the English team. Experimenting an arbitration and a way of game completely different from what they are accustomed to in England allowed them to enrich their learning and team formation.
Afterwards, two days of training were held in the José Ramón Cisneros Palacios Sports City, facilities provided by Sevilla FC, which let the English teams to enjoy training in a completely different climate and improving in the acclimatization for matches against teams of other latitudes.
Finally, a match against the Juvenil División de Honor took place, with a favorable result of 2-0 for the English team, thus seeing an improvement and adaptation to the philosophy and culture of the Spanish football.
To finish the tour, the technical staff visited the residential facilities of Sevilla FC, where they could have a technical meeting to exchange aspects of methodology and learning, something essential for the improvement and evolution of the team.
There was also place to learn about the culture and history of Andalusia. The players and staff were able to enjoy a delightful afternoon in a guided tour around the incomparable city of Seville.
